Hao Wang
Prof. Hao Wang, Distinguished Professor at Guangdong University of Technology, founder and Chairman for both Lianomics LLC (US) and Pearl River Institute (Hong Kong). With 20 years of success in both the US and China, he has a solid international background and has accumulated rich leadership experience in healthcare. Prof. Wang had served as the vice president of the Research Foundation for the State University of New York(SUNY), and helped the strategic transformation of research and innovation for 34 research universities and colleges in SUNY system. He was a partner/managing director of Accenture. He served as deputy commissioner of the New York State Office of Mental Health, the largest behavioral health system in the United States. Dr. Wang has also served as the group vice president of Kingmed Diagnostics (Guangzhou), one of the most successful private clinical diagnostic laboratories in China. Prof. Wang made remarkable achievements in the field of healthcare big data. His series of technological innovations were successfully applied to the Central Massachusetts health information exchange (HIE) in 2004, recognized as one of the first regional HIEs by the US federal government. He participated in the design of the world's first successful national health information exchange platform led by Accenture, later implemented in countries such as Singapore and Australia. He served as an adjunct professor and director of mental health informatics at Columbia University and has served as an importantmember of many professional organizations in the field of healthcare big data in the US.
