Prof. Lijian Yang works at the Center for Statistical Research at Tsinghua University. He is a member of the International Statistical Society, Fellow of the American Statistical Association, Fellow of the International Mathematical Statistics Society, Director of the Chinese Probability and Statistics Association, Executive Director of the High-dimensional Data Statistics Branch of the China Field Statistics Research Association and Executive Director of the Survival Analysis Branch of the China FieldStatistics Research Society, Suzhou Chairman of the on-site statistical research conference. He has served as a full-time professor at Michigan State University, a professor at Suzhou University, director of the Center for Advanced Statistics and Econometrics; and an associate editor of the SCI journalComputational Statistics,Statistica Sinica,Journal of Nonparametric Statistics,Journal of Business and Economic Statistics.His research interests include simultaneous confidence region (SCR) remain the only theoretically justified methods for sparse functional data, covariance of functional data, time series error distribution, generalized additive model, finite population distribution, single index link, and variance function. He has published more than 60SCI/SSCIpapers, and thirteen of them are published in top journals. He is awardedTjalling C. Koopmans Econometric Theory Prize.
