Prof. Li is a first-level chief physician, postgraduate supervisor, Director of the Center for Ageing Health and Geriatrics, Global Health Institute, Xi'an Jiaotong University, former director of the Department of Geriatrics (Department of Geriatrics), The Second Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University, and Deputy Director of the Institute of Integrative Medicine Chang, Executive Director of China Geriatrics Society. He is the member of Standing Committee Member of China Geriatrics Research Center; Standing Committee of External Biopsy Professional Society of China Biomedical Engineering Society; Vice Chairman of Shaanxi Geriatrics Branch of Chinese Medical Association; former Chairman of Xi'an Geriatrics Branch and member; Eight journal editorial committees such as Chinese Journal of Geriatrics, Chinese Journal of Gerontology, Practical Journal of Geriatrics, and Chinese Journal of Clinical Medicine. He has visited the George Washington University School of Medicine. He has undertaken 5 national-level projects, the International Multi-Center Cooperation Project of the Royal College of Medicine in London, UK, “HYVET Clinical Research” (Elderly Hypertension Intervention Study); responsible for 8 provincial and ministerial-level projects, and published more than 100 papers. He was awarded the Second Prize and the Third Prize of the Science and Technology Achievements of the Shaanxi Provincial Government; one of the national invention patents; and the “China Integrated Traditional Chinese Medicine Contribution Award” by the Chinese Association of Integrative Medicine.
