Dr. Feng Zhao, Ph.D, MPH, MD,is theLead Health Specialist and Program Leader of World Bank. Dr. Zhao has received his master's degree and doctor's degree in public health from University of California and Johns Hopkins University.His articles have been published in peer-reviewed journals includingSocial Science and Medicine, World Health Organization Bulletin, Tobacco Control, etc. He co-authored several books on human resources for health and health system research. Dr. Zhao has over 25 years of working experience in health at country, regional and global levels including health economics, service delivery, human resources for health, public-private partnership, eHealth, health care financing, and the pharmaceutical sector.Currently he is leading several Bank’s programs in the Europe and Central Asia region. Dr. Zhao possesses rich working experience in Africa, East Asia, and Europe and Central Asia. He has traveled to more than 100 countries for work-related purposes.He played a leadership role in creating several flagship programs including an executive program from Finance Ministers at the Harvard University. He served as a faculty member in a number of universities including the Harvard Flagship program for Ministers of Finance.
